However, after India secured a five-wicket victory over England, Vaughan took to social media to share his post-match reflections, acknowledging that despite initial concerns, the pitch ultimately delivered the desired conditions for a competitive match.
Vaughan took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his thoughts on the pitch, stating that initially, it seemed like it would be subpar, but he admitted that it has evolved into precisely the kind of pitch you hope for, striking a fantastic balance between favoring both batsmen and bowlers. Beginning day four at 40 for no loss, India encountered some tense moments before successfully chasing down the 192-run target during the afternoon session. With this win, India now holds an insurmountable 3-1 lead in the five-match series, setting the stage for the final game in Dharamsala commencing on March 7. The partnership of 72 runs between Shubman Gill (52 not out off 124 balls) and Dhruv Jurel (39 not out off 77) proved instrumental in guiding India to victory, rescuing them from a precarious middle-order collapse.
