Rohit Sharma: Indian Team Captain Rohit Sharma on Friday has achieved a new milestone as he becomes the third captain to complete 1000 runs in all formats after Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

However, the day hasn’t been that good for them as the team went all out after scoring just 218 runs in the first innings. Kuldeep Yadav took 5, while Ashwin took 4 and Jadeja took 1 wicket.

India came into bat on the very first day after England were all out. Captain Rohit Sharma and young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a good start to the team with 104 runs, but while trying to play a big shot on Shoaib Bashir’s ball, Yashasvi got stumped. However, till the end of the first day’s play, captain Rohit Sharma is unbeaten after scoring 52 runs. Rohit Sharma has also made a great record in his name in the first innings of Dharamsala Test. Before Rohit, only Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni could achieve this special record.

Expecting a century from Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill had performed amazingly in the second innings of Ranchi Test. He came in a difficult situation and led India to victory. However, here the Indian team is seen in the driving seat. Fans are expecting Shubman Gill to take the team to a good position along with captain Rohit Sharma. Fans are expecting him to score a century. Let us tell you that by the end of the first day’s play, Gill had scored 26 runs in 39 balls, but the special thing about his innings is that till now he has hit 2 fours and 2 sixes.

India has a chance to take a big lead on the second day

Team India will have a golden opportunity to take a big lead in the first innings against England. India is currently 83 runs behind England. But the good thing is that Team India still has 9 wickets in its hands. While captain Rohit Sharma will start the second day’s play with 52 runs and Shubman Gill with 26 runs. If India succeeds in taking a big lead against England on the second day, then it will be successful in putting mental pressure on the English team.
