It was a happy return to Dharamsala for Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav as he once again went on to shine for Team India in the ongoing 5th Test against England. The star Indian bowler got to 50 Test wickets and got his 4th 5-wicket haul in the red ball format. This marked Kuldeep’s return to the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium since his debut against Australia in 2017. During his debut, the spinner took four wickets, dismantling the Australian batting lineup. He replicated this performance against England on Thursday.

Soon after, Ollie Pope’s misjudgment led to an easy stumping just before lunch, offering Kuldeep another wicket.
Kuldeep then showcased his skill by dismissing Zak Crawley with a brilliant delivery that spun sharply from outside off-stump to hit the leg stump, ending Crawley’s innings at 79. Jonny Bairstow, in his 100th Test, added some entertainment with aggressive shots but became Kuldeep’s fourth victim, caught behind by Dhruv Jurel. This marked Kuldeep’s 50th Test wicket. It was his teammate who later on Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Joe Root, trapping him in front of the stumps.
Kuldeep further contributed by dismissing Ben Stokes in a similar fashion, as a review couldn’t overturn the decision. This saw England’s score decline from 100 for two to 175 for six.
