Zaheer Khan, the ex-Indian fast bowler, foresees that the pitch in Rajkot for the upcoming Test match will be similar to those seen in Hyderabad and Vizag. This similarity could once again aid in the occurrence of reverse swing.
Speaking to Jio Cinema, Zaheer Khan “I hope the pitch is on similar lines to the one in Hyderabad and Vizag. On that kind of a surface, we should be able to see a good contest between bat and ball for the first two days and spin comes into play on the third day.”

He further added, “You’ll see some reverse swing as well. And on the fourth and fifth days, you’ll have the spinners dominating. If that is the pattern, it will make for a nice viewing experience for all the spectators and the fans will enjoy.”
Former England batsman Owais Shah expressed agreement with Zaheer’s views, highlighting the expected difficulty due to Jasprit Bumrah’s skill in generating reverse swing in Rajkot.
Apart from Bumrah, the Indian team features pacers Mohammed Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, and Akash Deep. Unfortunately, Mohammed Shami is sidelined due to an ankle injury and remains unavailable. The ongoing five-match Test series against England is currently tied at 1-1.
