Ravi Shastri, the former India head coach gave a stern opinion on KL Rahul. During the India vs Bangladesh first Test, he mentioned that it was high time for Rahul to up his game and try to be the explosive batter he was before.
KL Rahul’s Struggle Continue With Poor Form
KL Rahul’s poor form is definitely a matter of concern for Team India. His last Test century came in India’s tour of South Africa at the very start of the year.
In the first Test Kl Rahul has managed to just score 16 runs in the first innings and remained unbeaten on 22 as Rohit Sharma declared the innings with India taking an overall lead of 514.

Sanjay Manjrekar Highlights Rahul’s Temperamental Issue
Sanjay Manjrekar also mentioned about KL Rahul’s temperamental issue.
“That is more a temperamental problem for KL Rahul that has plagued him for 50 Test matches because the number that he has. He’s got some brilliant hundreds but an average of 34. He’s got hundreds, not one or two, quite a few and in testing conditions but the average of 34 tells you about his temperament and that we got to look at it today as well,” he added.
KL Rahul’s Test Record
Rahul has so far played 50 Test matches in his career and scored 2,863 runs with an average of 34. He has produced 345 fours and 24 sixes in Tests. His last Test match was against England played on the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad in January 2024. Here he made 86 runs off 123 balls.
