Australia once again proved why they known to be among the most deadly teams while playing at home. The Aussies ended up Day 2 of IND vs AUS 3rd Test at a score of 405/7 wherein Travis Head and Steve Smith smashed magnificent hundreds. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah didn’t get much support from his other teammates and managed to pick up a five-wicket haul. Bumrah is currently the leading wicket-taker of the series and has picked 17 wickets as of now. On a batting friendly ‘Gabba’ surface, Bumrah has turned out to be the only shining aspect for the Indian team in the match as of now.

Australian commentators also praised Jasprit Bumrah for his stellar performance, however, it looked like the ace Indian pacer was passed a ‘racial’ comment by Isa Guha. The former Australian women cricketer who was on air with Fox Cricket expressed Bumrah’s importance and said, “He’s the MVP, isn’t he. The Most Valuable Primate. Jasprit Bumrah, he is the one that is going to do all the talking for India and why so much focus was on him in the build up to this Test match and whether he would be fit.”
Did Isa Guha ‘Racially’ Abuse Jasprit Bumrah?
While praising Jasprit Bumrah. Isa Guha stated that the Indian pacer is a ‘valuable primate’. Brett Lee who was sitting near Guha, didn’t answer on her comment. However, fans on the social media have started to debate whether Isa Guha tried to ‘racially’ abuse Bumrah or not. Some of the reactions are mentioned below:

… did Isa Guha just call Bumrah the most valuable primate? Or am I hearing things?

I am ashamed of Bumrah being called MVP by Fox commentator Isa Guha. Who surprisingly has Indian background.#IsaGuha #BanIsaGuhahttps://t.co/vPD5QgmKtx

Jasprit Bumrah will want to end Australia’s innings as early as possible on Day 3 when he comes out to bowl in Brisbane.
