Indian batter Virat Kohli will be once again looking to score runs on his favourite Australian soil as the India national cricket team is all set to take on Australia in first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The IND vs AUS 1st Test is all set to begin from November 22 and both teams will look forward to win the match to kickstart the series campaign with a win. Kohli, who has been India’s go-to run scorer when it comes to play on the Australian soil. Kohli has slammed six centuries in Australia so far and he will look forward to add more tons to his tally in the IND vs AUS 2024-25 series.

Virat Kohli One Century Away From Sachin Tendulkar’s Major Feat

While, Virat Kohli has already surpassed Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar in the tally of most ODI hundreds, he will be after another record which he can break setup by the master blaster in the upcoming Australian tour. Kohli, who currently has scored six hundreds in Australia is levelled with that of Sachin Tendulkar. If Virat is able to score even one hundred in any of the five Tests in the upcoming Test series, he will become the Indian batter with most Test hundreds in Australia.

Virat Kohli had a magical run in Australia during the 2014-15 tour when he scored 694 runs from four games with four centuries. The latter was going through a rough patch in international wherein his technique was exposed by England bowlers such as James Anderson and Stuart Broad on the England tour which took place earlier that year. Kohli added only 139 runs from five Tests which was a major reality check for the batter who was on his prime during that period. Virat is currently undergoing the same period and Australia cannot be a better place for him to return back to form.
