New Delhi: Team India marked series win against Australia on Sunday and it was indeed a moment of huge celebration for the entire nation. Many videos surfaced online after the winning shot on the penultimate ball of the game.

Sunil Gavaskar dances on national TV

Former Indian cricketer celebrated the win by showing his dance moves on national TV while commenting for the match. He was seen along with Australia great Matthew Jayden when India won the home series.

India mark stupendous win

In the nail-biting contest, India secured victory as it fought hard until the last over of the game. Team India was in cruise control after Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav each scored a half-century, but Australia tightened the screws in the last overs. The penultimate ball of the game, when India needed one more run to win, was won by Hardik Pandya’s squeezed boundary.

Australia reached 186/7 thanks to the brilliant half-centuries of Cameron Green and Tim David. A spectacular 104-run third-wicket stand between Kohli and Suryakumar, which took place in just 62 balls, nearly cost Australia the game after India lost Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul early.

Axar Patel named Man of the Series

With this win, India has also secured the series with Axar Patel winning the title of “man of series”. After being crowned with the title, Patel said, “When you do well, and the team wins you feel nice. The things I do in the IPL, bowling in the powerplay and when you execute it well, feels nice. The line and lengths, I bowl, I back myself. Even if the batter hits a good shot, I back myself. I try and execute my plans.”
