New Delhi: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma played an anchoring knock as he successfully converted his half-century into a whole one against Australia on Day 2 of the 1st Test in Nagpur.

This is Rohit’s first hundred as a captain and 9th in overall Test matches. Indian captain, Rohit Sharma is currently batting at 103 after facing 176 balls. Rohit reached his century with the help of 14 boundaries and 2 sixes, with a strike rate of 58.52.
Suryakumar Yadav failed to impress in Whites as he fell prey to Nathan Lyon after scoring 8 runs. After that Virat Kohli departed on the first ball after Day 2 Lunch at Nagpur. Todd Murphy claimed Kohli’s wicket. India was 151/3 at Lunch.

India’s dominance and Australia’s come-back
India dominated the first half while Australia bounced back in the second half. A total of 28 overs were bowled in this session and India scored 74 runs out of it, while Australia extracted a couple of wickets. Todd Murphy has India on the hop.
