Rohit Sharma ‘Rested’ From Sydney Test
If Rohit Sharma doesn’t play the Sydney Test, the Boxing-Day Test might be the last Test match of his international cricket. The major reason behind the same was his form as he managed to score just 31 runs from three games and the selectors might not look towards considering the amount of young talent coming in India at the current time. KL Rahul has performed extremely well as an opener in the BGT series and his tuning has been spot on with Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Earlier, reports had emerged that Rohit Sharma may announce his retirement from Test cricket after the New Year’s Test and Virat Kohli may comeback as the captain for the Indian team. However, Jasprit Bumrah has displayed exceptional leading skills which was showcased during the first Test in Perth. The Indian team thumped Australia by 295 runs which really was a brilliant victory for the visitors to start off the series.
