Nagpur: India captain Rohit Sharma has set the World Record of hitting most number of sixes in the T20I as he surpassed Martin Guptill on Friday while playing against Australia.

The 35-year-old Rohit Sharma had hit a total of 172 sixes in 137 T20 Internationals before this game. New Zealand’s explosive opener Martin Guptill also held the record of hitting same amount of sixes but he stood at number. Today, with the powerful innings against Australia, Rohit has attained the number 1 position and has become Sixer King.

As per expectation, rain played spoilsport in Nagpur where India is taking on Australia in the 2nd T20I. Due to wet outfield, toss got delayed for almost 2.5 hours and India chose to bowl first.
Australia put 90 runs on board in the eight overs and India is now chasing the score to mark win in the second game.
