The Indian team has only won a single Test in Perth in the history of Indian cricket back in 2007. However, during those days, Perth was known for the iconic Western Australia Cricket Association Stadium (WACA). The pitch offered serious amount of bounce and pace which almost made it a graveyard for the batters. The Australia vs England 2013-14 Ashes series was one of the scariest series that the cricket fans have ever seen. The Perth WACA surface had cracks with more than 1 inch of distance between each other. However, the Optus Stadium surface hasn’t been as deadly as the WACA pitch was but still, it has been very challenging for the batters.
