Australia ended up achieving a dominating 184-run win in the fourth Test of the five-match series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Indian team couldn’t chase down the target of 340 runs in the fourth innings and ended up getting wrapped up for a score of 155 runs. Top Indian batters including skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant couldn’t deliver when it was needed and in the end, no batter other than Yashasvi Jaiswal could score runs.
Pat Cummins And Nathan Lyon Level Ravichandran Ashwin’s Elusive Feat
Australian skipper Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon ended up leveling the record of former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin with their performances in the IND vs AUS 4th Test. Lyon and Cummins extended their tally of wickets in the history of World Test Championship to 195 and currently are placed in the second and third spots. Ashwin is currently sitting at the top spot as he has picked up 195 wickets in 78 innings whereas Cummins has achieved the milestone in 86 innings. Nathan Lyon has achieved the milestone in 84 innings.
