The former Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was back in the grind on Friday, training for nearly two hours at Mumbai’s iconic Shivaji Park ahead of the upcoming Australia tour. He was seen working closely with his longtime friend and former Mumbai teammate, Abhishek Nayar, fine-tuning his game at the All Heart Cricket Academy.

Rohit replaced by Gill as ODI skipper

Despite recently being replaced by Shubman Gill as India’s ODI captain, Rohit is set to return to the field for the three-match ODI series against Australia, starting October 19 in Perth.

During the session, Rohit had two intense batting nets, watched by young Mumbai cricketer Angkrish Raghuvanshi and a few other local players who were present at the ground. The veteran opener looked focused and determined, showing that he’s already switched into match mode well ahead of the series Down Under.
