The India national cricket team suffered a 184-run loss at the hands of Australia in the fourth Test match played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Indian team couldn’t handle the pressure while chasing down 340 runs and got wrapped up for 155 runs. Top Indian batters including skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failed to rise up to the occasion once again and were dismissed for low scores. Reports have emerged that Rohit Sharma is all set for retirement from international cricket after the Sydney Test, nothing same for Virat Kohli as such has been heard till now.

Sanjay Manjrekar Wants Virat Kohli To Be Given A Long Rope
Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar believes that Virat Kohli shouldn’t be compared to Rohit Sharma and needs to be given a long rope. Speaking to Star Sports, Manjrekar stated that there is no comparison between both the batters as Virat is a great Test batter whereas Rohit is a good Test batter. He said, “I must say there is no comparison between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as Test batters. Virat Kohli is right up there. He’s a great Test batter and Rohit Sharma is a good Test batter. Rohit’s white-ball batting great. So Virat Kohli obviously deserves a longer rope. It’s not so much about Virat Kohli.”
“I want to know what the batting coach of India is doing. We can’t solve the obvious problem of such a fine player. Enough has been said about Virat Kohli, we just have to leave him alone”, he added.
The IND vs AUS 5th Test is all set to begin from January 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Indian team must win the match if they wish to level the series. A win for the Indian team is also very important if they want to make a place in the final of the World Test Championship.
