New Delhi: India’s stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya departed after playing the steady knock of 25 runs off 31 balls. Pandya and KL Rahul together stitched the partnership 40 plus runs as India made a comeback in game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Early blow for India

India may have dismissed Australia for 188 but the visitors have shaken the hosts’ batting lineup early on. Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav all fell within the first 11 overs.

Stoinis removes Hardik

Marcus Stoinis removed all-rounder Hardik Pandya and India are five down for 83. It was the short delivery from Stoinis and Pandya played a pull shot on that. Pandya did not got his best to it to clear the boundary and Cameron Green did not made any mistake and took the catch at deep backward square leg.

Automatically, India have been pushed back in the game, with that Pandya wicket. These two are the last proper batters left in the lineup and Australia can smell the obvious hang back and hit the odd ball out for boundary approach.

Jadeja, Rahul are on crease

After, impressing on the field with his bowling and fielding, Ravindra Jadeja now has to fire with the bat as well. Opener KL Rahul is only proper batter left on the crease. He is currently batting on 31 runs off 50 balls.
