Virat ends century drought
This was Virat’s comeback century in the longest format of the game. With this century, Kohli has completed 75th international hundred mark, he is only behind batting legend Sachin Tendulkar.
The 34-year-old batter, resumed his innings at 59 off 128 on Sunday, Kohli took his time to score the remaining 41 runs. He played 241 deliveries, smashed only five boundaries in his gutsy knock.
The last ton Kohli scored was against Bangladesh in Day and Night Test at the Eden Gardens in November 2019. While the former India skipper had scored his maiden T20I hundred last year in the Asia Cup and three more in the ODIs over the last three months.

Shubman Gill shines again
Came on the crease when Rohit Sharma’s team has lost the well-established 113-runs stand between Gill and Pujara. Shubman Gill departed after astonishing knock of 128.
India had lost early wicket of Ravindra Jadeja in the first session of Day 4, after that Virat joined hand with KS Bharat and stitched the partnership of 84-runs for the fifth wicket.

Nathan Lyon then removed KS Bharat (44 off 88 balls). Then Kohli and Axar Patel made an strong partnership as Virat notched towards his much awaited hundred. Kohli would ultimately score 186, falling just short of a double ton as India ended their first innings at 571 in the fourth and final Test against Australia.
