The India national cricket team suffered a huge loss at the hands of Australia in the second Test of the five-match Test series at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. The Aussies outplayed the Indian batting lineup and ended up winning the match by a margin of ten-wickets. The five-match series is currently levelled at 1-1 and from here the series has become very interesting. The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series will be played at ‘The Gabba’ from December 14 to 18. The Indian team will want to win the match and take a lead in the series.

Team India slipped from the first spot to the third spot in the World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. The Indian team now at least needs to win the series by a margin of 3-2 to comfortably make it into the finals of the World Test Championship.
