With Team India sealing the 3-match series against Afghanistan in Indore, skipper Rohit Sharma got himself a record which he hadn’t wished for.
Returning to T20 cricket for after a 14-month long gap, Rohit Sharma was expected to lead by example. However, the Hitman didn’t get off to a great start after his return as he got himself dismissed on a duck on 2 occasions in as many games against the Afghans.
Rohit got out on a golden duck courtesy of a Fazhalhaq Farooqi delivery which saw the opener misjudging the delivery and getting bowled on his very first ball.
The Team India skipper is now joint-2nd on the list of players dismissed the most number of times on a golden duck.

Rohit now has 12 golden ducks to his name and is only behind Ireland’s Paul Stirling who holds the record for the most number of golden ducks in cricket.
Rohit’s Dismal Return
Rohit Sharma failed to perform as an opener for the Men in Blue in the first 2 matches against Afghanistan and got out without scoring a single run in both the matches. Getting run-out in the 1st T20I after a miscommunication with his partner Shubman Gill, he failed to make amends in the next game as well and got out on a golden duck.
