Rohit Sharma achieved a historic milestone in the second match against Afghanistan by becoming the first male cricketer to participate in 150 T20 Internationals on Sunday.
After a 14-month absence from the international T20 format, Rohit made his comeback during the initial T20I in Mohali, where he also captained the team. Despite a challenging day at the crease, with a run-out for a duck due to a misunderstanding with Shubman Gill, India secured a comfortable victory in the end.
Rohit Sharma achieved a significant world record in the match by becoming the first player to be involved in 100 victories in T20 Internationals. In terms of the highest number of appearances in T20Is, the Indian opener leads the list, with Ireland’s Paul Stirling following closely with 134 matches in his career. George Dockrell, another teammate from Ireland, holds the third position with 128 T20I appearances.
