If Virat manages to score 35 runs against Bangladesh in Kanpur, he will leave behind his role model Sachin and become the fastest batter to score 27,000 runs. Sachin completed 27,000 runs in 623 innings. Till now only three batters have been able to complete 27,000 runs in international cricket, which includes Sachin, former Australian captain Ricky Ponting and Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara.
One Century Away To Break Bradman’s Record
Virat has so far scored 8871 runs in 114 Tests at an average of 48.74, which includes 29 centuries. Australia’s great cricketer Don Bradman also scored 29 centuries in 52 Tests in his career. In this way, Kohli will have a chance to surpass him in the Kanpur Test. Virat is at number 18 in the list of players who have scored the most centuries in Test cricket so far.
