Imran Khan News: A major and shocking claim has emerged regarding former Pakistan Prime Minister and cricketer Imran Khan. According to rumours, it is said that Imran Khan, currently imprisoned in Punjab’s Adiala Jail, has allegedly been assassinated.
For the past 21 days, Imran Khan’s three sisters have reportedly been denied permission to meet him inside the jail. They have raised this issue with the IG of Punjab province. Following their complaint, thousands of Imran Khan’s supporters gathered outside Adiala Jail, where his sisters are also staging a protest.
What are Imran Khan’s stats against India
The former world cup winning skipper had a remarkable record against India. Between 1978 and 1989, he featured in 23 Tests against India, and his performances were nothing short of remarkable.
Test stats against India
With the bat, he scored 1,091 runs in 29 innings at an impressive average of 51.95, a number that puts him right up there with the best performers in this rivalry. A highest score of 135* and a tally of three centuries and three fifties show just how often he stepped up when his team needed stability. And notably not a single duck in all those innings.
But while the batting numbers are outstanding, it’s his bowling that truly defined this era.
In 38 bowling innings, he delivered 5,078 balls, picked up 94 wickets, and maintained a superb average of 24.04. His best figures 8/60 in an innings and 11/79 in a match, reflect his sheer dominance. Add to that six five-wicket hauls and two ten-fors, and it’s clear he often turned matches on his own. An economy of 2.67 and strike rate of 54.0 underline how hard it was for Indian batters to get away from him.
ODI stats against India
His ODI numbers against India, spanning from 1978 to 1992, paint a more mixed picture, but the impact was still there, especially with the ball.
With the bat, he managed 433 runs in 25 innings at an average of 21.65, including one half-century. The strike rate of 79.30 shows he kept the tempo up in an era when ODI scoring wasn’t as quick as today.
With the ball, though, he was a constant threat. In 29 matches, he bowled 1,213 deliveries, took 35 wickets, and averaged an excellent 22.25. His best ODI figures of 6/14 remain one of the standout performances in the rivalry. A strike rate of 34.6 and economy of 3.85 show just how difficult it was for Indian batters to score freely against him.
