Rinku Singh, a star player who rose to fame in the Indian Premier League (IPL) when he hit five sixes in an over for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Gujarat Titans (GT). Recently, he expressed his desire and named the team he would want to play for if KKR didn’t retain him.
The left-handed batsman mentioned that he would like to join and represent Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in an interview with SportsTak.
Rinku Singh has been a part of the KKR contingent since 2018. Even though he did not play many matches KKR believed in his skills and backed him to play. In 2022, it was Rinku’s efforts that took KKR to new heights and almost took the team past the finish line. His stand-out performance for the team gained spotlight for him.

In 2023, Rinku did wonders with the bat and hit 5 sixes in an over when KKR needed 28 runs to win off 5 balls, taking his team out from the jaws of defeat against Gujarat Titans.

Rinku’s selection in the Indian Team
Rinku Singh made his debut for India during the tour of Ireland, where he delivered several impressive performances, proving his capability as a finisher for the national team.

However, his exclusion from India’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA raised some eyebrows. Despite this, India went on to clinch the title by defeating South Africa in the final held at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
In 45 IPL matches, Rinku has amassed 893 runs with an average of 30.79 and a strike rate of 143.34. His record includes four half-centuries and a highest score of 67. Additionally, he has scored two half-centuries while representing Team India.
