NZ w vs PAK w match: The Indian women’s cricket team led by Harmanpreet Kaur has seen their aspirant dreams get crushed as bad luck befell them during the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
India which had pinned all hope on the Pakistan-New Zealand match could only watch as Pakistan went down to New Zealand. In the process, New Zealand finished in the semi-finals as the second team from Group A went through.

End Of The Line For India
India’s only hope to qualify for the semis was Pakistan’s win against New Zealand. If Pakistan won against New Zealand, then at least India would have a chance to play for a place in the semis. The Pakistani team could not even threaten New Zealand and was subjected to one-sided grilling that relegated India to the realm of early knock-out. At least it was better than the last T20 World Cup in which they got beaten in the semis. This year, the group stage can prove to be an end to India’s campaign.

Australia Spoils India’s Chances
India’s tournament started on a sour note as they were defeated by 58 runs in their first game against New Zealand, and then things became all the more tricky from there. Still, they decided to give it a go and went on to win two more games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which sealed their fate while playing their last match of the league game against Australia.
It was not enough, however, for the team to get over the line despite a huge effort from captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who shone with the bat, and thus she lost by 9 runs. Another early exit for India in the T20 World Cup as they return home empty-handed once again.
Through to the semi-finals in style 🤩
