The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to kickstart from February 19 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Pakistan are currently the defending champions of the tournament and they will look forward to repeating the heroics this time as well. However, it doesn’t look Pakistan are fully ready for the tournament as the construction works of the venues is still ongoing. The ICC is soon going to monitor the preparations of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and as quoted by India Today, a source said that the ICC hasn’t raised any concerns as of now regarding the preparations of the competition.

On the other hand, India are very likely to play one practice match in Dubai ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 before they begin the tournament’s campaign. The ICC Champions Trophy is being organised after a long gap of eight years. There have been several controversies before the ICC released the schedule of the tournament.

While, Pakistan were announced as the hosts of the tournament, BCCI refused to play in the neighbouring country due to security concerns. Due to the controversy, the schedule of the tournament of was delayed and in the end, both the cricket boards agreed on a hybrid model wherein India would play all there matches in UAE, whereas other teams would play in Pakistan. Also, PCB has exceeded the limit of the last date they had setup to complete the construction work of the three venues ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
