Amidst the ongoing row between PCB and BCCI over the Champions Trophy 2025, the International Cricket Council was supposed to sit with all the other 15 board members to end the deadlock over the upcoming marquee event. However, the meeting has been postponed and shifted to December 7. While all the board members were supposed to meet together on Thursday evening, it will now be held on a zoom call on Saturday. The PCB hasn’t yet officially accepted the hybrid model solution and still firm over its stand of hosting the tournament in Pakistan itself.
Main Agenda Of ICC Meeting Over Champions Trophy
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is pretty much expected to agree over the hybrid model as they had been opposing it from a long time. If such happens, UAE will emerge as the prime contender to host the matches which are expected to be held under the hybrid model. This includes three of Team India’s group matches and two knockout games.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made four to five key demands which are very unlikely to be accepted by the apex cricket body. One of the prime demand of the PCB’s is that same treatment shall be given to them in the upcoming ICC tournaments which are set to take place in India. Another demand which has been made by the PCB is the compensation of shifting five matches outside Pakistan and it is pretty expected that there this demand will be fulfilled.
