Rohit Sharma has gone to the 6th spot in the rankings. Indian batters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli are the only other 2 batters in the top 10 with 8h and 9th positions respectively.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who amassed 712 runs in the series against England, saw a significant rise of two spots in the rankings to achieve a career-best position of 8th. Similarly, Shubman Gill, who also registered a century in Dharamsala, climbed 11 places to break into the top 20, marking a new career high.
Despite missing the entire England series, Virat Kohli maintained his presence in the top 10 rankings, securing the third position among Indian players. Kohli currently holds the 9th spot, closely trailing Jaiswal.
Rohit Sharma currently holds 751 rating points, trailing Steve Smith by just 6 points to secure the 5th position in the rankings. Rishabh Pant, who received clearance to participate in the IPL 2024 season, is the last Indian player featured in the top 20 rankings. Pant occupies the 15th spot with 692 rating points.
