New Delhi: In the latest rankings released by the ICC on Wednesday, Team India was at the first position in the longest fromat. Rohit Sharma-led team India created history as they have become the number one side across all the formats at the same time.

This is the first time when India ranked top in all formats. To secure the first position, India had to topple Australia in the game. The Men in Blue defeated Pat Cummins' side in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by an innings and 132 runs. India and South Africa are only teams to top the ICC ranking table across the formats

India is the only team after Hashim Amla-led South Africa in 2014 that topped the table in all the formats. Meanwhile, Australia with 111 points is at the second spot followed by England who is at the third with 106 points. With this, New Zealand is at the fourth spot with 100 points while, South Africa with 85 points is at the fifth spot and West Indies, with 79 points, is at the sixth position. India will now move to Delhi for their second Test match of the four-match-series against Australia. India now leads the series by 1-0.
