Pakistan has been knocked out of the Champions Trophy 2025. On home soil, Pakistan packed their bags in four days. The batsmen failed to live up to expectations, and nor could the bowlers save the team. In the wake of being eliminated from the tournament, Rizwan’s army is in the line of fire of critics. Ex-players like Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar have also criticized the Pakistani team severely. There are calls to drop players like Babar Azam and Rizwan from the side. But during all this, Yuvraj Singh’s dad Yograj Singh has made a big statement. Yograj believes that he can turn this same Pakistan team into World Cup winners in one year.

While interacting with News18, Yograj Singh supported the Pakistan team and castigated Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar badly. He declared, “I will go to Pakistan. I will form a team within one year that you will never forget. It’s all about passion. I work 12 hours at my academy. It’s very easy to speak big. To bring change, you must give your blood and sweat for the nation. Do you think if Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, and Waqar Younis go to the PCB and say they will organize camps to enhance the performance of the team, would the Pakistan Cricket Board deny? But they won’t do that. They will only do commentary and such cheap activities to make money.”
