With the 3rd Test between Australia and Pakistan at Sydney Cricket Ground being stopped due to bad light on Day 2, several fans and pundits called for a shift from red ball cricket to pink ball cricket.
However, Australian opener Usman Khawaja is against the idea of a permanent shift to pink ball Tests.
Khawaja, who has been involved in a battle with ICC recently over his voice of support towards Palestine, gave an ultimatum that he would consider retiring from the format if a change comes into play.

“If it is, I’m retiring. I personally think it’s not (the solution). The red ball is so distinct. I play white ball, I play pink ball, I play red ball and they all react so differently.” Khawaja said.
“Nothing reacts like that red ball. How they make it, the dye they put on it. But I don’t make those laws, I don’t make those rules.” He added.
Australia have already won the 3-match Test series against Pakistan by winning the first 2 matches and are looking to have a clean sweep against the visitors.
Usman Khawaja failed to make his half century in the ongoing 3rd Test after losing his wicket to Aamir Jamal, who starred for Pakistan with a 6-wicket haul on the day.
