India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant broke his silence over the frequent comparisons drawn between him and legendary stumper MS Dhoni. His comments come after India convincingly won against Bangladesh in the 1st Test at Chennai on Sunday, where the 26-year-old returned to Test cricket with a bang, scoring a century in his first game after December 2022.

Pant’s Exceptional Performance In IND Vs BAN, 1st Test

Both Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill scored magnificent centuries on Day 3. Pant scored 109 runs in the second innings after which the Indian captain declared on 287/4 with a massive lead of 514.

“I kept my thought process simple and played according to the situation. They started with spinners on Day 3, but I don’t go out with a predetermined way of playing. The pitch was good for batting, and I wanted to make the most of it and score a hundred,” he added.
