‘I Am The World Champion’ – D Gukesh Experiences Bungee Jumping In Singapore After Winning FIDE World Chess Championship | Watch

World Chess Champion D Gukesh experienced bungee jumping in Singapore and shared a video for the same on his official social media handles.

The year 2024 has been a major year for Indian sportspersons who have brought laurels to the country. India, which is majorly regarded to be dominated by cricket and hockey in terms of sports, has proven its mettle in the field of sports such as Athletics, Football, Gaming and others. One such sport is Chess, wherein young Indian players including Dommaraju Gukesh, R Praggnananddha, Vidith Gujrathi and others have waved the Indian flag high on the international stage. Earlier this year, the Indian chess team led by Gukesh, won the FIDE World Chess Olympiad whereas few days ago, D Gukesh defeated China’s Ding Liren to win the World Chess Championship, and for the first time after 2012, an Indian was crowned as the world chess champion.

D Gukesh Experiences Bungee Jumping In Singapore

D Gukesh is currently experiencing the best time of his life and is trying to enjoy it to the fullest. The World Chess Champion, experienced bungee jumping at the Skypark Sentosa fun center in Singapore and shared the video for the same on his official social media handles. Gukesh captioned the post, ‘I did it’. While, the fans around him chanted ‘Gukesh, Gukesh’, in the video the ace Indian chess player shared, the latter was pumped and shouted, ‘I am the world champion’ in happiness.

In the past few years, Viswanathan Anand has been the face of Indian chess, however, players such as Magnus Carlson have been dominating it from a long time. Though, the performances of R Praggnanandhha, D Gukesh, Arjun Erigaisi, Vidith Gujrathi and others has certainly given a clear message to the world stage that India has arrived to rule the world of chess. Eyeing the present performances by these young chess players, clearly indicates that the future of Indian chess is in safe hands.
