Cristiano Ronaldo is still on the lookout for a major trophy with Al Nassr but again he received disappointment as the club Saudi Cup Final against Al Ahli. The contest ended with a 2-2 draw after normal time but with both sides pushing to win, Al Nassr faltered and Al Ahli won on penalty.
For Ronaldo, this loss marks his third consecutive defeat with Al Nassr. Before this he lost against Al Hilal in Saudi Cup Final 2024 and in Kings Cup 2024 as well. Despite achieving immense individual success, the Al Nassr star could not get the taste of victory.

Ronaldo’s most recent international trophy was in 2025 Nations League but this was at a club level, his last major success came in final with Juventus in 2021. In this, he helped the Italian side secure a 2-1 win over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia.
Ronaldo signed for Al Nassr in 2023, after his second stint at Manchester United ended. At the age of 40, he is still defying the odds, demonstrating his capacity to thrive on the biggest stage. With Al Nassr, the veteran center-forward had already reached 99 goals in 111 games prior to this encounter, so his 100th goal in Saudi Arabia was a milestone achievement. Remarkably, Sporting CP is the only club where he failed to reach the 100-goal total.
