England’s sensational batter and the former skipper, Joe Root entered into the record books after notching up a terrific century against Sri Lanka on Day 3 of the 2nd Test match at Lord’s

Root scored 103 runs off 121 balls took hosts into a mammoth lead. After breaking Sir Alastair Cook’s tally, he is on a verge of breaking the great Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of most hundreds in Test cricket history.


Root has slammed 17 centuries since the start of 2021.

Root is the only batter with over 4000 Test runs since 2021. Since January 1, 2021, Root smashed 4,554 runs from 48 Tests at an average of 56.34.
