The Indian Hockey team defeated China with a massive score of 7-0, and entered the finals to face Korea. The Indian team dominated the match from the outset, with goals from Abhishek (46′, 50′), Shilanand Lakra (4′), Dilpreet Singh (7′), Mandeep Singh (18′), Raj Kumar Pal (37′), and Sukhjeet Singh (39′). This dominant display of skill and expertise has earned India a well-deserved place in the final, where they will face the defending champions, Korea, on Sunday.
India’s relentless attack spree kept the Chinese team on alert, trying to cease the constant efforts to score. The pursuit started early with two quick goals in the first quarter. Shilanand Lakra opened the scoring in the fourth minute, finishing a well-timed cross from Jarmanpreet Singh. Just a few minutes later, Dilpreet Singh capitalized on a rebound off Harmanpreet Singh’s dragflick, doubling India’s lead. The second quarter continued in a similar vein, with India dominating possession and limiting China’s opportunities. A penalty corner converted by Mandeep Singh (18′) after a rebound ensured India held a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, India continued to extend their advantage, adding two more goals. Raj Kumar Pal (37′) tapped in a cross from Lakra, while Sukhjeet Singh (39′) found the net with a powerful finish off a pass from Dilpreet Singh. Abhishek then scored twice in the final quarter, first with a calm finish after a brilliant solo run (46′), and again with a back-handed shot (50′) to complete the 7-0 scoreline.

This ruthless display of skill and grit has brought the team to the position from where the final echelon of being teh world champions is not far away. The difference between the two teams’ scores is evident, as India made 36 circle entries while China managed just 5 and failed to create any penalty corners.
It was Wang’s defense that prevented India from scoring an 8th goal. Supreme efforts by Abhishek and Sukhjeet, who sublimely dribbled past several Chinese defenders, made this victory possible.
