New Delhi: The Test series between Pakistan and England began on Thursday in Rawalpindi. Batting first in this match, the English team has destroyed many records one after the other while batting furiously. England openers Jack Crawley and Ben Duckett made a stormy start and turned Test cricket into T20s. Both the openers hit centuries while batting explosively.
Four batters score centuries
Crawley shot 122 runs off 111 deliveries including 21 fours in his innings. Meanwhile, Ben Duckett scored 107 runs off 110 deliveries including 15 fours in his innings. English wicketkeeper Oli Pope, who came to bat at number three, also scored a century. Pope scored 108 runs off 104 deliveries. Following him, Harry Brook, who came to bat at number five, also scored a century. England has created a record by scoring 506 runs in an innings.

England creates a record of most runs on a single day
The record made by England is the highest score made in an innings on the first day. England broke the 112 year old record. Australia scored 494 runs on the first day of the Test played on 9 December 1910 in Sydney. The match was played between Australia and South Africa. However, England has now broken this record today i.e. December 1, 2022.

First day ends after 75 overs
The first day’s play was called off in 75 overs due to bad light. England have scored 506 runs at the loss of 4 wickets at the end of the first day’s play. Which is the record for the most runs scored on the first day in the history of Test cricket. Harry Brooke remains not out on 101 runs and Ben Stokes remains not out on 34 runs.
