Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has garnered a lot of headlines due to his performance in the recent times. Pandya has been performing really well due to which he has helped his teams win matches in both international and domestic cricket. Pandya recently represented Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy semi final match against Mumbai. His team was knocked out by the opposition as they suffered a six-wicket loss courtesy of a 98-run knock from batter Ajinkya Rahane. Despite the loss, Pandya received a lot of praise due to his fruitful gesture on the field.
During the Mumbai vs Baroda Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy semi final match, a few intruders entered the field after which they were caught by the security officials and were being escorted out. Hardik Pandya noticed all of this and insisted the security personnel to not treat the intruders harshly. His gesture was liked by the crowd sitting in the stands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The video for the same went viral on the social media.

Getting back to the match, Baroda registered a first innings total of 158/7 while batting first wherein Shivalik Sharma top scored with an innings of 36 runs from 24 balls. Shashwat Rawat and Krunal Pandya chipped in with scores of 33 and 30 runs respectively and guided their team to achieve a fighting first innings score. Mumbai bowler Suryansh Shegde picked up two wickets whereas other Mumbai bowlers picked up one wicket each.
Chasing down the target, Mumbai batter Prithvi Shaw got out for a score of 9 runs. However, despite the early loss, Ajinkya Rahane once again rose to the occasion and played an innings of 98 runs from 56 balls. Shreyas Iyer ended up playing an innings of 46 runs from 30 balls which helped his team win the match with six wickets to spare.
