Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya continued his brilliant form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. Pandya smashed 28 runs in a single over of Tripura bowler Pervez Sultan while playing for Baroda. Pandya played an innings of 47 runs from 23 balls. Pandya’s knock helped Baroda chase down 110 runs in just 11.2 overs. Pandya has been brilliant form in the past few months wherein the latter has been performing really well with the bat. The right-handed Indian all-rounder played a major role in Team India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph wherein the latter bowled a crucial spell to guide the Indian team score a victory.

Coming to the match, Tripura were restricted for a score of 109/9 in 20 overs while batting first in the match. Baroda bowler Akash Singh bowled a brilliant spell and picked up a three-wicket haul by giving away just 19 runs. Skipper Krunal Pandya also chipped in with three wickets. Tripura skipper Mandeep Singh was the lone warrior who played an innings of 50 runs from 40 balls, whereas the other team batters kept on losing their wickets at regular intervals of the innings.

Chasing down the target, Baroda started off well wherein opening pair of Milesh Patel and Ninad Rathva put up 25 runs in the first 3.4 overs. Rathva walked back for a score of 17 runs followed by Shivalik Sharma. Rest was handled by Hardik Pandya who played a brilliant known of 47 runs to guide his team chase down the target with ease.
