Gujarat Titans triumphed over Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium while moving into the first position of the IPL 2025 points table through their successive fourth win. GT opened their batting inning by reaching 217/6 which Sudharsan built with his 82-run score off 53 balls while Buttler and Khan and Tewatia added quick-fire runs to help establish the first victory total. The early strike of Jofra Archer (1/28) turned into bowing weakness as GT players hit many boundaries during the late stage.
The reply from RR lasted only 159 runs until they lost the game against GT’s high batting score. Rajasthan Royals found themselves in a dire position at 15/2 because of Mohammed Siraj and Arshad Khan’s exceptional opening partnership. Rashid Khan (2/37) along with Prasidh Krishna (3/24) prevented the comeback attempt by Shimron Hetmyer (52 from 32 balls) and Sanju Samson (41) when Krishna dismissed Hetmyer to secure the victory for GT.
The combined excellence of GT’s pitching combined with their fielding power and hard-hitting batting performance led to RR’s fifth defeat of the season from their six opening fixtures.
