Twelve players might miss tonight’s highly anticipated Premier League clash between Tottenham and Man City due to significant injury concerns on both sides. Pep Guardiola has made his final call on Erling Haaland’s availability after the striker was sidelined with a knee injury in recent games. Haaland has resumed training, and while Guardiola suggested a possible return, the final decision was expected following Tuesday’s session. Meanwhile, Tottenham also faces major setbacks, with several key defenders and attackers ruled out. With crucial absences affecting both teams, the match could see unexpected tactical adjustments and lineup changes.

Injury Woes Continue For Man City

In the meantime, injuries continue to plague Man City, with serious injuries to players like John Stones, Manuel Akanji, and Rodri. Stones suffered a thigh injury that didn’t need surgery yet will not return until April, Akanji has the same prognosis for returning from an adductor muscle tear, while Rodri will again be sidelined until July with a prior injury-a tear of his adductor muscle. On the bright side, Erling Haaland joined Oscar Bobb in returning to practice-with Guardiola sounding positive about him and Bobb headed toward a return after a broken leg in pre-season.

Tottenham’s Injury Concerns Force Tactical Adjustments

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham squad also faces multiple injury layoffs, mainly in defense and attack. Key defenders Ben Davies, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin are unable to play, limiting the defense. In attack, until the beginning of next month, Solanke and Richarlison have no chance to play. Timo Werner is back in training and therefore eligible for selection, but he was not included against Ipswich Town. Postecoglou explained that Davies’ injury meant having to think defensively for the bench. With several key players missing, Tottenham must change their game plan to absorb City’s attacking firepower.
