GT Vs RR: Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Monstrous Century Leads Rajasthan To A Comfortable Victory By 8 Wickets

Suryavanshi accomplished the double feat of becoming the first Indian and fastest Indian player history to reach a century by completing his hundred in 35 balls exceeding Pathan's record of 37 balls.

Rajasthan Royals matched up against Gujarat Titans at the match on April 28. Gujarat started their innings as the opening team that resulted in 209 runs for the team. Shubman Gill along with Jos Buttler scored half-century knockpoints for GT during the match. The stellar batting performances of these two cricketers lost prominence to Vaibhav Suryavanshi who became the youngest player in IPL history to score a century when he turned around the game. His knock smashed the second-quickest century in IPL history making him the youngest individual to reach this milestone in IPL history. The outstanding performance by Vaibhav Suryavanshi led Rajasthan to an 8-wicket win.

Dominance of 3 Gujarat Batters

The Gujarat team started their innings and reached 209 runs with 4 wickets gone in their 20 overs batting phase. The first batter Sai Sudharsan, put together 39 runs from his 30 balls. The three players who led Gujarat’s batting contribution were Shubman Gill who scored 84 runs off 50 balls alongside Jos Buttler’s 50 runs from 26 balls. All other Gujarat batsmen failed to produce noteworthy performances in addition to the trio.

Rajasthan Wins Because of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Storm

The storm Elited itself as Vaibhav Suryavanshi directed his batting attack at the 210-run target. From the opening position he achieved his 50-run milestone after facing only 17 deliveries and hit a total of 6 sixes along with 3 four-hitting boundaries. Suryavanshi accomplished the double feat of becoming the first Indian and fastest Indian player history to reach a century by completing his hundred in 35 balls exceeding Pathan’s record of 37 balls.

He secured the second position as the fastest centurion in IPL history next to Chris Gayle. Vaibhav Suryavanshi unleashed 11 sixes and 7 fours during his explosive knocking of the ball. In the 11.5th over of the innings Prasidh Krishna ended the batting performance of the player. During the match Yashasvi Jaiswal joined him in scoring an undefeated half-century by hitting 70 runs through 40 balls which included 9 fours and 2 sixes. Rajasthan achieved history by scoring their 8-wicket win through chasing down their target in 15.5 overs of play.
