The IPL 2025 is scheduled to take place from 22 March with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders taking on each other at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Sunrisers Hyderabad has shown promise during the practice match with their explosive batting. They posted a score of 260 runs in the same practice session. The Hyderabad franchise has the record for the highest score in the history of IPL with 287 runs against the Royal Challengers last year. With Ishan Kishan‘s display of exceptional batting, it seems that Kishan might replace the South African Heinrich Klaasen as the wicket keeper batter for the franchise.

Ishan Kishan’s Monstrous Knock
Ishan Kishan debuted in 2016 with the Gujarat Giants acquiring him at the base price of 35 lakhs. He went to the Sunrisers last year and was again acquired by Hyderabad at 11.25 cr—this year. Kishan was seen in impressive form at this year’s practice session when he smashed 70 runs off just 30 balls. The left hander currently could not make it to the Indian side but opened with the rising batting sensation Abhishek Sharma and gave his team a fast start. Though Abhishek perished for just 28 runs, Kishan continued to dominate the bowlers with his powerful hitting. This has raised eyebrows over the Proteas’ Heinrich Klaasen that is he would be a perfect fit for wicket keeping.
