Kiwi better Glenn Phillips has brought up his first ever ODI century against Pakistan during the tri-series conducted just before the Champions Trophy in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Glenn Phillips completed his maiden ODI century in 72 balls. When Australian pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi came into the attack in the 49th over Glenn Phillips took two runs to the offside to reach the milestone. He celebrated his achievement by taking off his helmet as his teammate gave a standing ovation from the dressing room.

The kiwis managed to put a massive total on the board of 330 runs with a loss of six wickets in 50 overs. Apart from Glenn Phillips’s unbeaten 106 runs innings, Darrell Mitchell and Kane Williamson also managed to create an impact with the bat by scoring 81 and 58 runs respectively. The black caps lost their openers pretty early in the innings.
