Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir will likely join the Indian cricket team as head coach during the series against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to take place from July 27. Gambhir will be parting ways with his IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders where he has had an illustrious career, winning 2 titles as a skipper and one as a mentor.
With Rahul Dravid bidding farewell to the Indian team after the T20 World Cup 2024 success, the spot for the Indian team head coach is open and will likely be filled by Gautam Gambhir soon. Gambhir has won the 2007 and 2011 Cricket World Cups with India.
