Debut Mayhem: Baby AB Smashes 68 Off 32 Balls

In his very first match for Hampshire against Essex, Brevis lit up the ground by smashing a six off the first ball of the innings. He particularly targeted Paul Walter in the 12th over, hitting two sixes and three fours in a single over and completely derailing the bowler’s momentum.

Brevis reached his half-century in just 21 balls, drawing a standing ovation from the crowd. He finished his innings with 68 runs off 32 balls, including 4 fours and 6 sixes. Thanks to his blazing knock, Hampshire posted 230/7 in 20 overs, and later bowled out Essex for just 124, securing a dominant win.

IPL 2025 Recap: Brevis a Bright Spot for CSK

Brevis had already turned heads in IPL 2025, where he debuted mid-season for Chennai Super Kings. Despite CSK finishing last on the table, Brevis made a lasting impact. In just 6 innings, he scored 225 runs at an average of 37.50 and an incredible strike rate of 180. His campaign included two fifties, and his aggressive intent and flair were a silver lining for the struggling franchise. His performance has reportedly sealed his place in CSK’s plans for the next IPL season.

South Africa Comeback on the Horizon?

With consistent performances in domestic cricket and T20 leagues around the world, Brevis is once again pushing for a spot in the South African national team. He made his T20I debut in 2023 but was dropped shortly after. Now, his dominant outings in both the IPL and T20 Blast could very well open the door for an international comeback.

Brevis has once again proven that he is built for the big stage and his journey is just getting started.
