Kylian Mbappe: French forward Kylian Mbappe termed his club Paris St Germain as a ‘divisive team’ , amid his contract standoff between him and League 1 champions. Relations between Mbappe and his club soured last month regarding his transfer rumours.

Mbappe to not renew contract with PSG

The French captain said he will not renew his contract, which expires at the end of next season, meaning he can leave for free in June 2024.

If 24-year-old player runs down contract with PSG, then PSG would be unable to recoup any of the 180 million euros (197 million USD) it spent to sign him. PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said the club will not let him go for free.

PSG vs Mbappe

There has been speculation that League 1 top scorer, Mbappe will move to Real Madrid. “I think that playing for PSG doesn’t help much because it’s a divisive team, a divisive club,” he said in an interview with France Football magazine. He did not elaborate.

PSG has won last nine title in the last 11 season, but Mbappe’s frustration lies with the performances in the Champions League — a trophy the Parisian club has never won despite all its investment in the squad.

Mbappe said he was the “most decisive player” in the group stage but could not explain what PSG was missing with the club hitting a “glass ceiling” in Europe.

“We did what we could, period. You have to talk to the people who make the team, who organise the squad, who build this club,” he added.

Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid

There has been rumors that Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid in the next two months. PSG and Real Madrid have agreed a deal worth 250 million euros for Mbappe, which would break Neymar’s transfer record. Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona for 222 million euros in August 2017.

“Is this fair a arranging strategy from Mbappe and his camp, and he will remain?

“Or are Real Madrid being tactfully intelligent by saying they aren’t getting to make any more signings in this window, and come in for Mbappe at the conclusion of the summer?”

It’s Real Madrid vs Liverpool for Mbappe

Of course, Kylian Mbappe’s transfer would not been an easy task for La Liga champions Real Madrid. After Karim Benzema exit, Real want to bring 2018 World champion player Mbappe. The Frenchmen also have emotional connect with the spanish club as he idolised Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although, it seems Madrid may face competition from Liverpool for the France international. According to FIFA agent Marco Kirdemir, Jurgen Klopp’s side are considering making a huge statement by landing the attacker first. Liverpool had also made €200m offer for Mbappe.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
