Former Indian Cricketer Begins New Journey After Retirement – Know Details

Indian cricketers such as MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Sachin Tendulkar have held governmental positions apart from playing cricket. A new name was added to the list.

Cricket in India is a dream for many young individuals. Youngsters from every small town of India dream of wearing the Indian jersey someday, however, only eleven get a chance to fulfil their dream. Due to the same, it is very necessary that cricketers keep a back-up option ready if they fail to succeed their dream of playing cricket. Some of the examples have been in the Indian cricket team wherein big names such as MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harbhajan Singh have held positions in government offices. This is among the best options to safeguard the future when the individual has retired from playing cricket.

Indian cricketer Siddharth Kaul is the newest addition to the list. Kaul announced his retirement from international cricket earlier this well and has returned to his job in the State Bank of India. The former Punjab pacer has been associated with the SBI since 2017 and even earned a promotion in 2020. However, as the latter has announced retirement, he will have pretty more time to give to his job. The former right-handed pacer will be reporting in Chandigarh’s Sector 17 branch.

Siddharth Kaul was the backbone of the Punjab bowling lineup as he ended picking up 297 wickets with 88 first-class matches. Kaul’s career which almost spanned out for 17 years, showcased fine rhythm in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023-24 wherein the latter ended up as Punjab’s leading wicket taker and took 16 wickets, which later helped his team win the title. Siddharth Kaul was equally valuable in List-A and T20 cricket wherein he picked up 199 and 142 wickets from 188 and 145 matches respectively.
