‘Focus Less On Bowling’: Yograj Singh Wants Yuvraj Singh To Train Sachin Tendulkar’s Son | Watch

Known for his outrageous remarks, Yograj Singh has made big claims against Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar.

Yograj Singh thinks that Yuvraj SIngh should train Arjun Tendulkar

Known for his outrageous remarks, Yograj Singh has made big claims against Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar. This time, he pointed out that Tendulkar Jr. should be trained by his son, Yuvraj Singh, and should focus less on bowling. Arjun trained under Yograj for 2 years when he switched from Mumbai to Goa for the Ranji Trophy. Arjun smashed a century at his Ranji Trophy debut but this alliance was short lived. Now, Yograj Singh believes that if Arjun should be taken under Yuvraj's wings, he can do wonders.

"With regards to Arjun, I said, focus less on his bowling and more on his batting. But if Yuvraj – he and Sachin are so close – takes Sachin's son under his wings for three months, I bet he will become the next Chris Gayle. Often it happens that a fast bowler, if he undergoes a stress fracture, cannot bowl as effectively. I think that Arjun should be handed over to Yuvraj for a while," Yograj Singh told CricketNext.

Yuvraj Singh's Guidance To Youngsters

Yuvraj Singh may not be much in the news, but his expertise and guidance in shaping the careers of young cricketers like Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma have been acknowledged by many. Yograj Singh believes if Arjun trains under the two-time World Cup winner, he can be the next Chris Gayle.

Arjun's Domestic Cricket Career

Arjun completed his last cricket match against Goa in December in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Arjun showcased his best First-Class bowling performance by taking 5/25 against Arunachal in the Ranji Trophy. He achieved his 4/81 against Sikkim before that first-class match. Mumbai Indians have awarded Arjun six opportunities to play in their matches. The year 2024 saw Arjun play in four matches where he secured three wickets.
