New Delhi: Floyd Mayweather has booked his next exhibition match after knocking out MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura as he will fight YouTube star Deji on November 13 in Dubai.

The 45-year-old retired from professional boxing in 2017 after reaching 50-0 by beating UFC star Conor McGregor. Since then, ‘Money’ has made millions by entertaining exhibition matches. Floyd knocked out Japanese kick-boxer Tenshin Nasukawa a year after his retirement before facing YouTuber Logan Paul last year and former sparring partner Don Moore in May.

The talks of a fight between Mayweather and Deji were underway, but the match has now been officially confirmed for November 13. Global Titans Fight Series, who also promoted Mayweather’s fight against Moore, will host the event which takes place at the Coca-Cola Arena, which can hold up to 17,000 fans.

Deji, a 25-year-old UK social media influencer, started his boxing career in 2018. After going 0-3 in his exhibition boxing matches, Deji made his professional boxing debut this August. He won his pro debut, earning a stoppage victory over American YouTuber Fousey.

After the announcement, Degi on his YouTube channel said, “It doesn’t even feel real; it really doesn’t. It doesn’t feel like this is actually happening. But it is happening. I’m gonna be fighting the world’s greatest boxer; arguably the best boxer that’s ever lived, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.”

“And I find it crazy that my whole boxing journey has been a lot of loss. I’ve had people tell me to quit boxing after me losing. I was an 0-3 fighter. People just telling me that this isn’t for you, you shouldn’t be boxing, you should give up. And now look at me,” he added.

Degi also posted a poster of the match with the caption, “you’re not ready for this one.” To this post many of his fellow YouTubers reacted;

KSI, Deji’s older brother said, “You got this fam, show him our power.”

Fellow British YouTuber turned boxer King Kenny reacted by saying, “DEJI IN 2 ROUNDS BY KO”

KSI’s rival Bryce Hall, who has a 0-1 boxing record, commented on the post saying, “W”

Logan Paul has given Deji some advice ahead of his fight against Floyd Mayweather. ‘The Maverick’ responded to Deji’s tweet announcing his fight by saying, “Try to get paid upfront.”

The reason Logan Paul asked Deji to get paid upfront is that he claims to have not been paid in full for his fight against Mayweather back in June 2021. In the eight-three-minute match at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami last year, Maverick has been paid in part for the fight and ‘Money’ has not paid him around $2 million.

British YouTuber Mike Fox also said, “My f****ng bro, I love this man. Your mentality to keep going after the social media storm is inspiring. Congrats on this, just make sure you secure the bag unlike Logan hey ahah”
