The Indian cricket players visited the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Saturday early morning, one day before the second ODI against England at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. Axer Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Washington Sundar were among the players who took blessings from Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balbhadra. The players were supposed to return to Barabati Stadium in Cuttack for a practice session.

Cricketers and Worship
Many cricketers think that taking blessings from the deities can turn out to be fortunate for them. Earlier we saw Virat Kohli with his family visiting Shri Premananda Ji Maharaj at Vrindavan. This was the second time he visited Premanand Maharaj. Although the faces of his children were blurred in the pictures and videos, this was the first time his son Akaay made a public appearance.
Virat Kohli to play
India won the first ODI against England by four wickets at Nagpur with Shubman Gill claiming the man of the match award by hitting 87 runs. India now leads the three match ODI series with 1–0, the next match is scheduled for 9th of February which is Sunday, in Cuttack. Virat Kohli could not be featured in the first ODI due to which Shreyas Iyer got a chance in the playing 11 but this time Virat Kohli has recovered from his injury and will be playing in the second ODI against England at Cuttack.
This ODI series against England will turn out to be up pretty good warmup before the Champions Trophy which is scheduled from 19 February to 9 March. India will play its first match in the Champions Trophy on 21st February in Dubai against Bangladesh. India will be playing its Champions Trophy matches in Dubai due to political tensions between India and Pakistan
